Richard (Ricky) Barkhouse went out with his girlfriend and some friends to celebrate his new life in Calgary: the couple was expecting their first child, they had just found the perfect home for their growing family and Barkhouse had gotten a new job. Drew Gregory Martineau and Simon Yuen — two men with ties to the FOB gang — got in an argument with the Nova Scotia native outside The Roadhouse bar on Jan. 23, 2006 and stabbed him to death. Both men pleaded guilty to the lesser offence of manslaughter, with Martineau receiving a five-year sentence and Yuen receiving a four-year term. The Roadhouse has since been closed and re-branded as Knoxville's Tavern
