Wife shoots husband while he sleeps: Alan Biraghi (31) was fatally shot as he was sleeping in his bed. His wife Karen Biraghi was the shooter. Both partners had extra martial relations but Alan had recently revealed to his wife that his was serious and he was due to move to her home on the 26th. Valerie McClain, a licensed clinical psychologist, testified that Biraghi suffers from bipolar disorder, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and bulimia. McClain said Biraghi has the coping skills of an adolescent due to physical and sexual abuse. She was sentenced to life for the murder.
