Isaiah Lampkins went with two friends early Monday to buy a pound marijuana at a vacant house. The buyers tried to rob the seller. Lampkins was shot in the ensuing struggle. Someone alerted police to the sound of gunfire, and when they responded they found Lampkins nearly dead on the front lawn. He died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
