A two-alarm fire broke out in a 12th floor unit of this apartment building. The fire resulted in two people being sent to the hospital: a man in his 60s with serious burns and a woman in her 70s.
A four-alarm fire on the 9th floor led to 30 people being evacuated and 2 people being transported to the hospital.
Fatal stabbing at 200 Wellesley: Emergency crews were called to the scene in a 14th floor unit at 200 Wellesley St. E., north of Sherbourne Street, around 4 a.m. where they found Tony Millett, 55, suffering from obvious signs of injury. The victim was rushed to hospital where he later died.

Woman beaten and strangled to death in 27th floor apartment: Spring Phillips, 26, was sexually assaulted and murdered in her apartment by a homeless man she was helping. She was found badly beaten, with a plastic bag over her head, the next day.

The body was found at 4 p.m. Tuesday when a man, identifying himself as the woman's boyfriend, called security to say he hadn't been able to contact her for a couple of days. Man strangles wife to death: Norma J. Derosie, 30, was strangled to death with a bathrobe tie, as she lay passed out on her bed. Derosie and her husband, Perer Gordon Brooks had been drinking. He was convicted of manslaughter in 1993.
