24-year-old Sammy Leon Hall was fatally stabbed by his boyfriend 31-year-old Rosendo Gutierrez on April 9, 2011, after the two had been fighting. Hall and Gutierrez were living together with Gutierrez's parents, and Gutierrez's father reported that before the stabbing occurred, he heard Gutierrez say to Hall "you better stop or I will kill you." Gutierrez was discovered at the scene covered in blood, and was arrested soon after. He was charged with manslaughter.
