Just before 12:30 p.m., Tucson Police officers from Operations Division South were dispatched to a welfare check at a residence in the 1000 block of East 28th Street. The caller advised police that she was supposed to meet her boyfriend for lunch at his house. When she arrived, there was no answer at the door and blood was located on the ground outside of the home. Officers immediately forced entry, where they located the boyfriend deceased with obvious signs of trauma. The victim was identified as 38 year old, Jermiah Stoneberg.
