Brian Black Kettle worked in construction in Cold Lake, but took a trip to Calgary to visit his children. Not long after his arrival, the father of five died in hospital on July 27, 2014. Police say a man struck Black Kettle in an “unprovoked attack” at a downtown park and left him unconscious. In January 19, 2006, Dean Commanda stabbed his best friend, Chad Largy to death. He then dismembered his body in his apartment bathroom, leaving two of Largy's arms in a dumpster to be found by a homeless man who was looking for bottles.
