At around 1:25 am, the homeowner called police to notify them that Daniel “Dan” Hieber, 58, had fallen down the stairs. Hieber was found unresponsive at the bottom of a staircase and later died from his injuries. Interestingly, this small town has another death involving stairs. Three weeks prior to Hieber's death, Brenda Dailey, 53, was beaten and thrown down the steps of her home. View Listing »

Apt # 308. Fidel Lopez was indicted on charges of first-degree murder and two count of sexual battery after allegedly disemboweling his girlfriend, Maria Nemeth, for saying her ex-husband's name during a sex. Officials found Nemeth dead on the bathroom floor after Lopez called 911. View Listing »

Robert Miller went to the home he formerly occupied with his girlfriend Emily Phillips and their now 20 month old son. A neighbor heard gunshots, then looked outside and saw David Fontecchio, Phillips’ boyfriend, falling down the front steps. Miller had fatally shot him. When police arrived, an injured Phillips came out of the home and said Miller and the child were still inside. The boy was unharmed, but police found Robert Miller dead of a self inflicted gunshot.
