Quoted from original police record: Woman shot to death: Babor, Mrs. Charles, fatally shot, home 824 Allport St., by her husband. Died in Co. Hosp. Babor attempted suicide by shooting and was held without bail by Coroner's Jury. Sentenced Jan. 3, 1901, by Judge Smith, to fourteen years in penitentiary Released from Co. Jail dying and died at home, 824 Allport St., April 20, 1901.
