30-year-old Perry McCallister was shot and killed November 9, 2011, after he and two other men attempted to break into a house and rob the homeowner. The homeowner fired at the three suspects, and an exchange of gunfire between the two parties resulted in the death of McCallister, one of the suspects. Police believe the robbery was drug related. The homeowner was not charged in the killing.
