Man charged in slaying of handyman: A Toronto man has been charged with murder after a hotel maintenance man died from wounds he suffered last month while answering a call to fix a television set. Leonard Green, 59, of Lewis St. died Tuesday after suffering severe head injuries in the April 16 attack, police said. A post mortem revealed Green died as a result of "blunt trauma" to the head. Green, a maintenance man at the Whitehouse Hotel on Church St., was found unconscious outside the room where he was called to make a TV repair. Michael Rene Bouchard, 27, of Bay St. is charged with second- degree murder. - Toronto Star (May 10, 1990)
