Quoted from original police record: Child shot to death: Nelson, Clifford - Age 7 - Fatally shot 9:45 AM, in the rear yard of his home, 7347 Vernon Ave., and his father wounded, by shotguns in the hands of three young burglars, whom they discovered in the act of ransacking their home. The men, who escaped, were traced thru the license number of the auto in which they escaped and on 4/18 were held by the Coroner. Their names are henry Raczynski, Roger Bonny, and Paul Gressman. 10 dist. 7/5/28 - On pleas of guilty all three sentenced to Joliet Pen. By Judge Eller; Bonny to life - Raczynski to 20 years - Gressman to 14 years.
