Man shot to death: Gonzales, Jesus - Age 33 - Died from a gunshot wound received at 5:30 PM, 2/6/28, at the front door of 711 Liberty St. where he was visiting, when he went to answer the doorbell. Stated his assailant was a Mexican but refused to assist in his identification and arrest. The motive was not established. On 3/15/28 the Coroner recommended the arrest of Angelo Ayala, whose name appeared on an Int. Harvester identification card found in an overcoat dropped by the murderer. 22 Dist.
