Heather Johnson, 7, and her mother Cynthia Johnson, 34, were brutally murdered in their home in a slaying that one officer described as "ritualistic". Heather was found in a bedroom while Cynthia's body was located in the front room. The house has been set on fire in several locations in an attempt to cover up the crime. Police have suspected Cynthia's ex-boyfriend Glenn Haslam Barker, who had previously served prison time related to the disappearance of a 12-year-old girl. However, the case currently remains unsolved. The night of the murders, pizza was delivered to the house. Police are urging the pizza delivery driver to come forward and speak with investigators.

Cynthia & Heather Johnson - Date of Homicide: August 29, 1996 On Aug. 29, 1996, Heather Johnson, 7, and Cynthia Johnson, 34, were murdered in their own home on Junaluska Drive in South Richmond. The home was set on fire to cover the crime. The victim was last talked to on Aug. 29, 1996, just a short time prior to the fire. This crime was one of Richmond's most horrific murders. The victim knew the killer(s) and police need your help in solving this case. The police have compiled a great deal of information on this case and need you to help us bring it to a successful close. We believe someone knows who the suspects are and can help solve this case.
