Claremont man killed: fatal shooting involving a police officer in Claremont Sunday morning that left a 25-year-old Claremont man dead, according to Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeffery Strelzin. A autopsy will be performed today on Cody Lafont, 25, of Claremont to determine an exact cause of death. Strelzin said no police officers were injured in the shooting, which happened around 4:50 a.m. Sunday at a residence at 53 Congress Street. Senior Assistant Attorney General Peter Hinckley said police were initially dispatched to the scene in response to a call for assistance. -
