reported events that occurred at 511 South 55th West Avenue on May 10th, 2020

20-year-old Antonio Velasco was shot and killed on May 10, 2020, after causing property damage and harassing the owner of the house where he was shot at. Police had been called to the home 3 times in the same day because of Velasco. The first time it was because Velasco had taken a sledgehammer to the homeowner's front door. The homeowner, Matthew Boll, 45, called police but Velasco fled before they arrived. Velasco later returned and smashed Boll's windshield with a bat. Boll called police again and Velasco fled again. The third time Velasco returned, he started harassing Boll's girlfriend over a bike. That's when Boll shot Velasco 4 times in the chest. Velasco was rushed to a hospital but died. Boll pled guilty to one count of causing a death through the use of a firearm while possessing a firearm in the furtherance of drug-trafficking crimes. The drug trafficking crimes were added because of Boll's selling of methamphetamine at the time of the shooting. Boll faces 1 and a half - 5 years in prison.
