On June 10, 1975, the bodies of married couple Jesse and Sybil Waters, 56 and 53, were found shot to death in their home. Sybil's employer could not get in contact with her after she didn't show up to work, so they called a neighbor and asked them to check on her. The neighbor checked the couple's home and found the bodies. The killings was said to be murder-suicide. Sybil was found dead in a side bedroom on the floor, with Jesse found in an adjoining bedroom while still carrying the pistol he used to shoot Sybil.
