The body of Sheryl Ann Gardner is found in Apartment 1611 by Toronto Police. Gardner was murdered by a sexual predator posing as a Bell Canada technician. He was living at 240 Wellesley Street West at the time of his arrest and had also attempted to sexually assault a female resident there.

Police responded to a call at 33 Isabella Street and found the victim, Allan Lup Hung Chan in the apartment building's underground parking garage, suffering from gun shot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Case remains unsolved.
