Body of 6-year-old found in rooftop boiler room: An Ontario Court jury yesterday heard a pathologist describe injuries to the body of six-year-old Andrea Atkinson indicating she was brutally raped and may have been strangled. John Carlos Terceira, 20, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree murder. The girl's body was found in a rooftop boiler room of her apartment building on Oct. 23, 1990, nine days after she was last seen alive. Dr. McAuliffe also blamed decomposition, rather than a blow, for a fracture found on Andrea's skull. - The Globe and Mail (Nov 14, 1992)
