More than $433,000 in marijuana plants being seized in Richmound. Leader RCMP conducted the traffic stop in Richmound on the evening of July 3 and found a significant amount of cannabis marijuana inside the vehicle. The following morning a search warrant was executed at a small house on Barsness Bay where a sophisticated marijuana grow operation housing over 430 plants was discovered. As a result of the search three people are charged with offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act including production of cannabis marijuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking in cannabis marijuana. Those three individuals are all of Richmound. McBride 1 and Hodgson are charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cannabis marijuana and one count of production of cannabis marijuana. McBride 2 is charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cannabis marijuana and one count of production of cannabis marijuana. The McBrides appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court at 10:00 a.m. yesterday. Hodgson has been released on a promise to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court on Sept. 17, 2015. The investigation is ongoing.

posted 4 months agoMcBride 2 had his charges dropped due to being only 18 yrs old and influence of his parent the court's stated. Hodgson received a global resolution with many other charges serving 5 yrs.

posted 4 months agoMcBride 1 received a 1 year in Pine Grove Correctional she plead guilty to the knowledge of the grow-op and McBride 2 and Hodgson are still in court processes for their charges.
