reported events that occurred at 2319 West McDowell Road on September 13th, 1993

September 13, 1993; Bentley McKinney, 77, was enraged over unapproved work being done to the plumbing in his home, and during the incident he got a revolver and shot the plumber, Roger Cliburn, 52. Another worker with Cliburn escaped the house as McKinney turned the gun and shot his wife Gertrude, 71 and his son Burt, 42. All 3 were injured with gunshots, but luckily survived them. SWAT team was soon deployed to the house in an attempt to arrest McKinney, but after negotiation failed, Bentley McKinney was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a back bedroom of his house.
