Lucile Bacher, 43, and her husband Henry Charles Bacher, 58, owned and ran the Lincoln Avenue Pharmacy, and lived in the upstairs apartment. While working at the pharmacy, Lucile was struck in the head and her throat was slashed. Upon returning from lunch, Henry heard Lucille moaning and was surprised by the assailant who severely beat him. Lucile died from her wounds. The perpetrator has never been caught.
