Sometime, probably in July or August of 2019, a man passed away in bed of diabetes complications on this property (date of death recorded as July 17, 2019). An unknown number of days or weeks passed without his communication before the real estate and personal injury lawyer who owned the property finally broke into the unit and discovered the body which had reportedly putrefied -- the odor was reportedly intense. After having the remains removed the lawyer property owner had the (ruined) carpeting removed and replaced with wood flooring and had the entire unit painted white to try to mitigate the smell. Although California law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1710.2.) requires that an owner voluntarily inform prospective tenants for a minimum three years the real estate and personal injury lawyer property owner failed to do this and continues to charge premium rent prices, as if the property is not stigmatized. The follow-on tenants were only informed afterwards by neighbors and previous tenants who had been present during these events. Paranormal activity has not been reported.
