  • 1990

My friend and his family lived in this house. In 1990, or early '91, they experienced a house fire. The fire started in the kitchen and, much of the fire damage was confined to that part of the house. Smoke and heat damage spread throughout the home, and much of the interior had to be rebuilt. It was beautiful [for the early 90's] when it was all fixed up!

Distraught man commits suicide. My family lived on this street from its construction ~1980, to 1987. A small family lived in number 16. Mother, father, and they had a little girl. My mother recalls seeing them walking with the child from time to time, but there was nothing more than a "hello" in passing by. The story goes that the marriage failed, and the woman left her husband and took their child. A short time later, the neighborhood awoke to police cars, and the house cordoned off with police tape. It is unclear how the details emerged, but the story that circulated the neighborhood was that he had shot himself.

Sometime in the early 1980's, a man took his life in this house. My friends family eventually moved into the home, and were not made aware of the history of the house by the real estate agent. They were upset when my mum mentioned it. I bet they wished HOUSECREEP.COM existed back then.
