On August 11, 1971, 50-year-old Willard Bogue went to the home of his estranged wife Mary, 47 years old, at 151 S 36th W Ave. The two had been having serious marriage problems, and domestic arguments / disputes between the 2 were common. While Willard was at the home, another domestic altercation occurred and escalated between them. Mary grabbed a shotgun in her home and shot Willard with it at a distance of about 5 ft away, killing him.
