23-year-old Cole Harrell was shot and killed at this home during a houseparty on December 17, 2017. The incident occurred when while he and friends and family were at the home, they received a knock on the front door. Upon opening the front door, 20-year-old Isaiah Salas-Martinez forced his way into the home armed with a shotgun and pistol. Salas-Martinez had apparently gotten a phone call from his intoxicated girlfriend who was at the party, and showed up and started an altercation with the home residents. A brawl started and the people in the home attempted to disarm Salas-Martinez and take his gun from him, and during the struggle Harrell was shot in the chest and killed. Salas-Martinez then fled the home with his girlfriend. He later turned himself into police and was charged with first-degree murder.
