Andrew Ledbetter killed his estranged wife 39-year-old Irena Ledbetter on April 21, 1993. Andrew went to Irena's house and stabbed her multiple times. Irena ran out of the house and collapsed on the front lawn, and Andrew fled from the scene. Witnesses reported seeing Irena struggling to live on the front lawn, with the metal rod of an icepick sticking out of her eye. She died within minutes. Andrew Ledbetter was arrested and found guilty of first-degree murder.
