15-year sentence sought in Pinard slaying: An Ontario Court judge will pass sentence Friday on a 17-year-old gang member who has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the Aug. 10 shooting of 18-year-old model Carrie Lynn Pinard. Ali Abdul Rahman will be sentenced by Judge Ian MacDonnell of the court's General Division who heard prosecutor Chris Punter call for a denunciatory 15-year sentence for the offence, which he portrayed as part of a well-planned "home invasion" by the accused and 13 other members of the Christie Boys gang directed at a neighbour of the victim. - The Globe and Mail (Dec 16, 1992)
