Beverly Jarosz, a sweet tempered 16 yr old high school junior, was brutally stabbed and strangled to death by someone known to her. She was very paranoid after receiving anonymous gifts and never let strangers in the house, always keeping the doors locked. One day Beverly was home alone and expecting a friend to arrive. Beverly was on the phone with a family member and said she heard her friend at the door and had to get off the phone, but it wasn’t who she expected. About 10 minutes later that girl did arrive to find the storm door locked and Beverly not answering. While loitering on the front porch, annoyed that Beverly wasn’t answering, she heard a sound from the room above the porch “like someone knocking over a dresser.” Eventually she left, feeling uneasy. What she had heard was Beverly fighting for her life in her bedroom. The murder remains unsolved yet as of 2018 still is considered a “hot” case. Many photos and articles in the links provided.
