26-year-old Luis Martinez and 25-year-old Veronica Gonzalez were found shot to death on August 21, 2005 by a roommate coming home. The roommate came home to find the backdoor kicked in and saw blood on the floor and so he left and called the police. Police soon identified the killers as 18-year-old Victor Casarez and 17-year-old Primo Urquiza. Police say Martinez was at a party and had gotten into an argument with the two which resulted in Martinez being kicked out of the party. However Casarez and Urquiza were not satisfied with him only being kicked out so they went to his house and kicked in the backdoor and shot Martinez to death while he was sleeping. The two men then noticed a woman, Veronica Gonzalez, was also in the house. The two told her not to tell anyone, but as they were leaving they got worried she would tell and so they shot her downstairs. After they left, they thought they didn't do a good enough job and so they went back to the house and noticed the injured Gonzalez had gone upstairs, so they went upstairs and shot her to death. The two men were identified and charged quickly, but they could not be located. Urquiza was located and arrested in December of 2011 at his mother's house after he came to visit. Casarez is still on the run and has not been located.
