Melissa Galea is accused of murdering Troy Steven Oakley, 38, of Aurora, and starting the blaze at the Edward Street home where he'd been staying. Initially charged with second-degree murder, Galea's charges were upgraded to first-degree murder and along with six new counts of threats, arson and a fail to comply. Prior to the blaze being set, she was facing ongoing break and enter, assault and shoplifting charges.
