    Murders of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom: Channon Christian, 21, and Hugh Christopher Newsom, Jr., 23, were raped, tortured, and murdered after being kidnapped the evening of January 6, 2007 when Christian's vehicle was carjacked. Five people were arrested and charged in the case. An envelope recovered from the vehicle yielded fingerprint evidence that led police to Lemaricus Davidson at 2316 Chipman Street.

    Homicide at Morningside hills apartments: Police were called to Morningside Hills Apartments on Dandridge Avenue around 3:49 p.m. for a call about a person who was shot. When officers arrived, they found Colin Jackson, 25, dead from a gunshot wound. Officers say according to the preliminary investigation, Jackson’s girlfriend was at work and tried multiple times to call him but did not get an answer. After her shift, she walked home and entered the apartment where she found Jackson dead.

    James Aaron Taylor, Jr., 25, and Courtney Deontea Gillette, 25, were both found dead at a home at 2806 Whittle Springs Road. The shooting was reported around 6:11 p.m. on Whittle Springs Road at Edgewood Avenue. A woman called 911 to say a man had been shot in her home, according to police. When officers arrived, they found Taylor dead inside the home and Gillette dead outside on the front lawn.

What is Housecreep?

Housecreep was launched in 2013 by two brothers from Canada. Our aim is to encourage disclosure in the real estate industry, and to help home buyers and renters make informed decisions.
