    Brian Black Kettle worked in construction in Cold Lake, but took a trip to Calgary to visit his children. Not long after his arrival, the father of five died in hospital on July 27, 2014. Police say a man struck Black Kettle in an “unprovoked attack” at a downtown park and left him unconscious.     A passerby found John MacIver suffering from stab wounds in a Bowness parking lot on Sept. 1, 2014, and notified first responders. Paramedics took MacIver, 38, to hospital, but he died a short time later. Investigators say MacIver sustained fatal injuries after a verbal argument escalated into a physical assault. Police charged a 17-year-old boy with second-degree murder.

    A high school student was hosting a birthday celebration at his Braeside home on March 8, 2014, when a group of uninvited guests crashed the party. The host allowed them to stay until some guests started fighting in the basement, and he asked them to leave.     On December 20th, 1975, William James Riddle broke into the home of 40 year old Ina Violet Crookes and smothered her to death while she slept. Crookes' two daughters, Ellen and Susan were at home at the time and saw Riddle during and after the attack, both testifying against him in court. Clothing from the murder victim was also found in the engine compartment of an old truck on Riddles' property. He was found guilty of first degree murder in 1977 and received life in prison.

    A friend discovered Alfred Mueller’s body inside his apartment at 907 Barberry Walk S.W. on Oct. 11, 1991. The friend had become worried after not seeing Mueller, 59, for a week and let himself into the suite with a spare key. Investigators didn’t reveal how Mueller died, but said an autopsy determined he was a victim of foul play. Mueller used to be a construction worker but was left unable to work after being in a car crash. This case remains unsolved.

    On November 6th 2018, two bombs exploded at the Strathcona County Community Centre in Sherwood Park, Alberta. RCMP confirmed Wednesday afternoon there were two separate explosions in the parkade, one before police were called to the scene and another at around 8:15 p.m. Police said the suspect Kane Kosolowsky, 21, was located in a car in the parkade shortly after the first blast. Kosolowsky was then shot by police and later died in hospital of his injuries.

Housecreep is the top real estate website for finding stigmatized properties (i.e. murder houses, reportedly haunted houses, former drug labs etc.) and otherwise noteworthy homes. Easily lookup listings near you where murders and other crimes have occurred, where paranormal activity has been reported and much more.

Housecreep was launched in 2013 by two brothers from Canada. Our aim is to encourage disclosure in the real estate industry, and to help home buyers and renters make informed decisions.
